The Mission Partnership with Christ Church Rayleigh, Kings Road, Cornerstone, Bridgwater Drive and Hadleigh URCs came into being when the Partnership Agreement was signed at the service on 15th February. A meeting of the Partnership Group took place afterwards, with Lythan – Synod Moderator explaining how the call process and partnership profiles should work. Dave Coaker, who is the Eastern Synod Clerk has agreed to take on the role of Interim Moderator during the process.
Meanwhile our minister Revd. Naomi accepted a call in February to a pastorate in Hertfordshire and so has had her final service with us. She wrote:
“The timing of this move is in fact very fortunate. Now that we have formed a Mission Partnership, you can move forward to find two new ministers to work as a team across the five churches. I would encourage you to embrace this process and make the most of sharing resources across the five churches.
I wish God’s blessing on all of you here and for the future of the Mission Partnership and God’s work here in South Essex.”
There will be a mission partnership afternoon tea at Christ Church Rayleigh on 25th April from 2pm to 4pm.
