On our descent after a wild weather walk (scary at times) over Whernside, one of Yorkshire’s three
peaks, the weather started to clear and looking northwards a glow appeared until this magical light
lit the landscape. It was such a joyful sight after the storm cloud we had been in, it was the crowning
glory to an invigorating day battling against the elements. It was as though nature was saying thank
you for the storm passing and everything returning to new life, refreshed and renewed.
It made me think of the dark, meaningless days before we recognise Christ in our lives and the difference it makes. – Elizabeth Pryor
