In partnership with many community groups, Christ Church Rayleigh hosted a Eco Fair, highlighting sustainability and ecological issues.
Alongside this, a Schools Photo competition was held on the theme of 'Caring for our Environment'

Christ Church frequently goes away for a good lunch and to learn from a guest speaker.
In 2015 we went to St. Michael's in the Daws Heath, where Rev Peter Ball ask us the question 'A missionary Church?'
In previous years we have gone to the Othona Community near Bradwell-on-Sea.
In 2013 Rev John Proctor lets us through Acts 16 discovering insights in Paul's relationship with the church in Philippi.
In 2011 the Rev Dr. Janet Tollington, surveyed the Old Testament with us.
The final Communion service was in the ancient Chapel of St Peter's on the Wall, built by St. Cedd in 654AD.

On a warm Saturday in July 2010 the church was open to the community to celebrate the congregations 100th Anniversary.

In March 2010 the Rev Hubert Smith (a previous minister) officially launched his history:'Christ Church:The First Hundred Years'.
Many queued to get an original Hubert Smith autograph. The book is still available.

Every year the churches of Rayleigh combine to host a free Family Fun Day in King Georges Playing Fields. All the entertainments and games are free. Over 3000 attend including children of all ages.
