Rayleigh Family Fun Day

All Churches in Rayleigh work together and support each other on various activities and projects.

One on the most successful events hosted by the Rayleigh Churches is the annual Family Fun Day. It is a totally free event held in King Georges Field on a Saturday in July. Children of all ages enjoy the traditional sideshows like hook-a-duck and tin can alley. The more energetic revel in the various inflatables, some just for the very young.

Entertainment through the day includes the Salvation Army Band, ‘No Strings’ puppet theatre, through to ‘Full Circle - playing hits from the 60’s.

Each year since 2005, 250 volunteers from Rayleigh churches working together help make the day a success, and between 2500-3000 people from Rayleigh and farther afield enjoy the great atmosphere. The one exception being the FFD in 2011 which was a washout and had to be abandoned, in the great tradition of the British summer…
